Skin Care - DIY Pedicure

Sandal season is upon us and there's nothing worse
than
dry, cracked, fugly feet
peaking out of your
pretty summer shoes.

You don't need to head to a spa or a salon
to get your
feet looking pretty.

The
Australian Beauty
girls
have some
DIY Pedicure tips for you.

It'll take about 1/2 an hour.

You'll need:

Nail Polish Remover
Cotton Pads
Foot File
Toe Nail Clippers

Epsom Salts
Lavender Oil
Warm Water

1 cup salt or sugar

Clear Base Coat Polish
Nail Polish (optional)
Clear Top Coat

A Large Bowl
2 Towels

1.  Remove your old polish using a cotton pad.

Tissues disolve and cotton balls leave fuzzies.

2. Gently file away any hard, crusty (ew) skin.

DO NOT use any foot shaving devices.
Avon has a fantastic, cheap foot file in it's
range.

3. Clip and file your nails.

Using toe nail clippers, trim your nails straight across to prevent ingrown toenails.

Avoid cutting too short or too deep.

Push cuticles back with an orange stick.

4.  Soak your feet.

For best results,
add some Epsom salts and a few drops of lavender essential oil to
a bowl of warm water.

5.  Exfoliate.

Grab a cup of salt or sugar and scrub all over your feet.
Rinse.

6.  Moisturise.

There's a myriad of products on the market
and the cheapies work just as well as more
expensive products.

Rub it in well.

7.  Polish.

Apply a clear base coat to prevent colour staining your nails.

Add 2 layers
of your favourite colour lacquer.
Apply a top coat.

8.  Grab a magazine and LET THEM DRY!

Then throw on your favourite shoes
and
show off your pretty feet!

"I eat low GI, high alkaline foods, drink filtered water and eat mostly fresh produce and very little meat."

"I believe above everything else, what we put in our mouths determines how healthy or unhealthy we are."

She also uses supplements like Floradix to boost her iron levels as well as berry powder, Noni Juice and coconut oil.

She also enjoys running, yoga, pilates and chasing atound her beautiful bub Flynn.

Australian Beauty - The Body & Invisible Zinc

Elle McPherson
was recently back in Oz to promote Invisible Zinc in conjunction with Myer.

She wowed the crowds in a gold, skin tight Herve Leger bandage dress.

The Australian Beauty
girls love The Body.

How hot is this woman?!

The
STUNNING
47 year old admits to slathering herself with baby oil as a teenager
(AB girls guilty of that too)
and later paying the price by having to get skin cancers cut out.

OUCH!

She still loves to sport a golden glow but now opts for Invisible Zinc's Jet Set Tan
and uses sunscreen daily.

use only one active ingredient - zinc oxide -
a mineral reflector found in nature
to create a physical, reflective veil on the surface of your skin.

With summer just around the corner don't forget to slather yourself in buckets of sunscreen!
